I know, I'm a bad blogger...although I've seen worse, it has been a while! LOL. So, anywho, I've been updating my blog. Pretty, huh? I am so in love with this Dreamsicle kit, I used it for my family reunion invites and now for my blog page. I love the colors! There are so many fabulous designers out there! I hope to be one of them one day. Although I'm a newbie, I have BIG dreams! Haha! So, I'm gonna broaden my horizons a little and try my hand at designing. Mostly it will be a learning experience to sharpen my scrappin' skills. But be on the look out for some Freebies from me and of course I'll be sharing any info I've learned on my journey into this new world! LOL If I find more tuts, I'll be posting them also. Check out my sidebars for more links to scrap sites, tuts, and freebies. I'm also getting ready to go back to work in a few weeks so I won't have as much time to scrap. These are the two invites I've been working on. The first is for my daughters birthday party, this kit really rocks! The party theme is "Pirates and Pixies" and is gonna be in pink and black with pirate treasures and fairy magic. LOL

The second invite is for our first family reunion. The pic in the middle is my great grandparents and on the left is her parents and the right, is his.

I hope the family like this cause I had fun making them.

Geneology sites and a Taylor Made tut...

Here is a new tutorial I found today. Its from Taylor Made Designs' blog, it is photo blending options in Photoshop. I've been trying to keep up with my blog but I've been busy with our family reunion stuff. I've been doing geneology research on my dad's side of the family and boy is it time consuming. I've found so much cool stuff though. The oldest pic I have is from 1904. I've learned so many things about my family and my ancesters. Here are some sites that have really helped me:

Wow! Am I on a roll or what? Yea, i just started on my Maygen's baby book and on day two I have 3 LO's! Woohoo! I am a 2 page LO scrapbooker...sorry to disappoint ya! My 1st page is the first page of the album so I only need one, so the rest will be two pagers until the last page. I have my albums printed at Shutterfly, so I have 20 pages unless I wanna pay more and add on. 20 pages equals 18 two page LO's and 2 one page LO's. Is that how you do your albums? Well, thats how I plan on doin' mine! LOL

Here is a new LO I made today of my first pregnancy, with Maygen. I had tried to get pregnant for a year before being put on fertility drugs...on my third month taking Clomid...finally a positive test!

I few months ago I created two memorial albums for my friend Marsha's little boy Tyler, who was killed by a drunk driver. Well I made my own little element, a sun, to use as part of a LO I did. I thought maybe someone could use it, download here.

I think it was a good try for a newbie, but cc is always appreciated! I'm not sure I'll ever be a designer (LOL) but here it is anyway!

Just some updates to my blog today. As you know I'm a beginning scrapper and use my blog as a resource. Well, I have really started to scrap alot more due to challenges, mostly, so I have added a "Whats Happening At" to the right side of my blog. The links to different sites will take you directly to a calendar or list of challenges/chats/events for that specific site. If you want any more sites added let me know. Also I try to keep my calendar updated with specific challenges/events I am taking part in, so go check that out too.

And don't forget to take my poll to the right...What size LO do you print?

New LOs of Thanksgiving 07

Here's LOs of Thanksgiving 07'. We had Thanksgiving dinner at my Aunt Vickie's house, everyone was there except my dad and brother, of course. I hope my girls always think of our holidays as extra special, because its really the only time our whole family is together. I'm planning on changing that though. I have started planning our family reunion for July 12th. I plan to do a theme: All Because Two People Fell In Love...like the Brad Paisley song. I want it to be centered around my great-grandparents, whose anniversary was on July 11th. I never knew my great-grandfather, but my great-grandmother was an amazing woman. She was so strong and all-knowing, and unwavering faith like you've never seen. It amazes me how many obsticles they overcome during their marriage. They lived through the great depression, horrible floods after that, there are almost 20 yrs between their first son, and their lasts( a set of twin boys), 11 children (6 boys and 5 girls); My great-grandmother had to send three of her baby boys off to war, one to WWII, one to Korea, and one to Vietnam. She had 3 miscarriages in her lifetime, her husband died after 40 yrs of marriage, and after going through all she had endured, she had the faith of an angel, which is exactly what she is now...an angel!

I wanted to share with you two albums I put together for some very special friends of ours. These albums are dedicated to the love and memory of Tyler Lee Evans who was taken from us on August 31, 2006 by a drunk driver. Tyler is loved and missed by so many people, but no one has been more devastated than Tyler's mom, Marsha; dad, Terry; and little brother, Micah. They have held together through this unthinkable tragedy and have honored Tyler's memory in so many ways. Even though Tyler is gone, he will be in our hearts forever! If you would like to find out more about Tyler and what an extraordinary little boy he was please visit Marsha's site and Tyler's Myspace. Please leave me some comments about the albums and leave Marsha some hugs too! She would really appreciate it.

Too many projects!!!

Here lately it seems as if I have so many things going on I get lost in the chaos of it all! My scrapping project now is one very near and dear to my heart, and I will be posting the finished album on my site for all to see. My jewelry party Thursday night went pretty well, I thought, my friend Chrissy sells Silpada jewelry and I hosted a partaaay! So all were here playing games, eating food, and buying awesome jewelry! ; ) Its sterling silver and has a lifetime warranty...go check it out here peeps... So as I was saying...projects! Christmas shopping, making Thanksgiving Day plans, working on the house, making plans to work on the house, ohhhhhh....
and when I get done with my super secret scrapping project...........I'm starting another one that I'm hoping will be done before X-Mas...but at least has to be done in the next month 1/2! Woooo... I'm glad I'm a SAHM and I don't have an outside job to drive me crazy on top of that!
